We usually praise the happiest moments in our relationships with others, but we hardly want to think of the time when those relationships stop. How do we deal with change when we realize that someone left our world? It happens to be that sometimes we decide to not deal with these events. We erase memories, we repress emotions. We sweep everything under the carpet hoping that it will fade away, that somehow this will disappear.

Dreams, in that sense, become a realm of exploration for understanding our most inner feelings. Even if we tried to repress them previously, dreams contain underlying and unconscious thoughts, which get mixed with the most overt content. ‘About Dreams And Loss’ aims to be a reconstruction of a dream. This short experimental film is a visual representation of what we could see after experiencing some kind of loss. Even though there is no accurate information of the actual event that originated it, the footage intends to recreate a sense of bewilderment along with what we see as ordinary. It is this paradox that tells us that we are no longer awake, although that what we feel is still real.
